What is church?

An in confirmation you are being made full adult members of that body, with full rights and responsibilities. You are expending considerable effort to become a part of the body of Christ.
Your task for this week is to think about and write about what it is that the church is, and why people, like yourselves expend so much time and energy in the church, the body of Christ.

To me a church not nessasarly a building it is a group of people in fellowship with each other. Elders are an essential part of the church because they are the foundation and they know more then the other people. And so are relationships. I think some people not all just go to church because they think they will be saved, on the other hand they might truly belive. For kids i think they just go through the learning and teaching of Christ that there perents because they are alot of people kids and adults that are not going to church any more. People expand so much for the knoldge and there own thoughts about christ and life and death or etrnal life.

To me Church is a place where you go to learn things about god that you dont know yet. I go to Church because i like to worship with other people and learn things about god that i havent learn yet or know yet. I think kids go to worship/church because their parents are going so they think that if the parents go they should go. Adults might go to worship because they think that they will be saved from everything they do. I expend time to go to worship because like i said its good to go to worship to learn things,and aslo have commioun!!!!!!!

Church is the physical body of Christ on earth, the church compose of all of the Christians from around the world. There is only one Christian church. I don’t think the kids come to church to worship until they are old enough to understand what God and religion are. I think I spend time in the church because my parents wanted me to come to church as a little kid, and now we just try to ge every Sunday or if there are special worships we try to go to them to. At first when I was little I don’t think that I liked to go to church. But now on Sunday when I go to church I actually listen and try to learn. To me it is something that grows on you and you just do it. I actually do not mind church like I did as a little kid now I like comeing to church.
