In the News…
Posted in Uncategorized on February 6th, 2007 by His HolinessWe will be talking this semester about the scripture, and how to apply it to your life. Accordingly your task for this week is to find a news item of your choice, and reflect on how you might be able to seek guidance from the scripture about the issues in the news item.

I thought a good example was the Tornados in Florida. All the people are working together and helping each other. In the scripture one of the Ten Commandments is sort of like what is happening in Florida because they are helping each other and in the commandments you are to help your neighbor and make his plot in life or his stuff better and to work together.
Most people don’t help others all the time maybe there should be more natural disasters so more people get along and work together or just help each other more.

I thought that Hurricane Katrina is still affecting the people. That is something major that is still flying through the news. I know that people from all over and American Red Cross are still helping them get back up on their feet. This is somewhat like Michaels but yet it is still different. I’m sure that the people pray and thank God everyday because he saved their lives. As you can see the people who are in need will always be forgiven and saved. I think that we should always do good deeds and help others. So my guidance, is to help others if it is for the good or for the bad you will still be saved or forgiven.
–Pastor, I have a game tonight in East Dubuque tonight. By the time that my game gets done there will not be much time left. So I won’t be attending class tonight. I’m going to do the reading and homework that we will be receiving tonight. Thanks.

I think every Hurricane is still messing with people’s life! I know everyone is trying to help everyone around but that doesnt mean that everything will get back how it use to be. I hope soon that everyone will get everything they need so they can get back to their own houses!! You should make sure your life around you is safe.
