The Nobel Peace Prize
Posted in Uncategorized on October 15th, 2007 by His HolinessFor the past several months, care of the Earth has become a major topic of conversation, thanks in no small part to Al Gore. Mr. Gore was recently awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts.
Your task for this week is to explain why care for the Earth is a serious concern for Christians and a faithful endeavor.
OR, if you do not believe that care for the Earth is an appropriate concern for the Christian, or a faithful endeavor, you are to explain (convincingly) why.

I don’t think that it should be a big christian topic because if trusty science is right the world has gone through global warming before and though there is proof that the earth is heating up it is not clear what is causing it. Plus global warming will appear to affect us one year and the next year it will be exact opposite so I think that if the world is heating up just let it what’s the worst that can happen. But we should also try and take care of god’s earth.
Here are some things to consider
1) Hurricanes were not big last year
2)We had a lot of snow last year
3)The Gulf stream is not dying
4)The coral is not dying because of global warming
5)Gore also does not want people in Africa , a third world country to develop electricity to better there lives.

It is obvious that you have an opinion about the issue of global warming. Good for you. Your task however was not to debate the issue of global warming, but to explain why, or why not, care for creation is an issue Christians should take seriously.
Please post again, this time attending to the assigned topic, and not global warming.

It is a serious concern because God created this world and we should take care of it as much as we can seeing that we claim to be christians ( that doesn’t mean that you should quit driving your car.)
I think we should try and keep his world clean as long as possible because there is only one it is his creation.

I don’t think its a big concern for christans because its the scietests to figure out.
