Christians in Community
Posted in Uncategorized on September 25th, 2006 by His HolinessThere are many people in the United States who describe themselves as Christians, but who also state that they are not members of any congregation, and do not worship with any congregation on a regular basis.
Your assignment for this week is to think about why it is important for Christians to be a part of a Christian community, and to worship with other Christians.

I think that it is important for christians to be a part of the christian community. First of all if you want to help god you should be a part of the community. If you are a christian and are not a part of the community then you don\’t completely believe in god. God was most likely in the christian community when he was a christian. It is also important to worship other christians because they believe in god as much as you do. Worshipping with other christian is basically giving them respect. Like people always say, \”Do as you would want done to you\” If you can worship with anybody else in the congregation, then you can most certainly communicate and worship together. If I really wanted to I could go to church with one of my friends. It really wouldn\’t be that different. So that is why it is important for christians to be a part of the community and for christians to worship with other christians.
Pastor, could you call my mom at home tomorrow and her know if we have confirmation at 4:15 or 4:45. I didn\’t know if you told us to tell our parents or if you were going to call. I am going to bring my magazine on Thursday.

I think it is inportant to be involved in the church. Even if you already know you are going to heaven, you should show God that you are thankful for that by going to church. There is no unforgiveable sin but I think it is a sin to not go to church regularly. It is also inportant to be involved in the church. When people that say they are good Christians and then state that they are not members of a congregation they are disrespecting the Christian faith because good Christians come to a church and belong to a church so they can learn more about God, the scriptures, Jesus, and everything that is in the bible. And another thing is that if you are going to be a part of a church you should be more involved in the activities and spreading the God’s word. I also think that if you are going to worship our God that you should come to a church and worship with the congregation regularly instead of some church program on the television.

I think it is important to be a Christian and be in church. I think on Thursday and Sunday mornings, they have TV and radio programs with church services. Doing that you are not in the house of God. I think it is not an excuse to sit on your butt and watch TV unless you are elderly or homebound and are not physically able to make it to church. Sitting in church with all the churchy stuff surrounding you makes you concentrate on HIS Holy word and spreading the gospel.

I think its very important to be a Christain in church. I think that you should always go to church if you can make it. If not then I think you should call a friend and ask what was church about on sunday? You should pray at night to thank God for what he gave us. I think you should do anything that you can to thank God for everything. If you can’t go to church then maybe you should do something else that is involed with church and church people.
